Grip - Learning to hold the club correctly is
the most important part of golf. An incorrect grip will eventually lead to all sorts of problems.
Setup - Learning to stand with the correct posture and aiming in the correct direction are all very important.
Takeaway - The first movement of the golf swing.
Backswing - Making sure the club stays in the correct position throughout the backswing is a must.
Downswing - Getting the club back to the correct impact position is
the most important part of the swing.
The Follow Through - A good follow through will set the ball on its way to the specified target.
Regardless of what level you are at, all the above will be checked in your Introduction Lesson. A lesson plan will set out and each lesson we will work on the area that needs the most attention.
If you already have a swing in place, we will use video lessons to show you in detail of any planned changes. This makes it a lot easier to understand what we will be doing. Beginners will be videoed at a later stage, so we can look back at all the impovements that you have made.
All areas of the game are covered, not just the swing. A game of golf is never won, or a low score is never achieved from hitting the ball a long way from our tee shot (the first shot on each hole). A solid short game is essential to succeed, i.e. approach shot (shot to the green), chipping and putting are all very important skills that should be mastered first. The ability to recover from a poor tee shot is very important and a solid short game is the only way to recover.
